Singapore Day III

Today I visited the Adventist School in Singapore. Unfortunately did not see any students at school,  as they are on their mid-year break... 4 Weeks! I was given a guided tour by a lovely lady called Sayanet. A very informative tour. (Thanks Sayanet)

After the visit I headed back out to town, this time to the Gardens by the Bay, the Cloud and Flower Dome. The domes look like two giant clams on the beach. Spectacular building design. Saw the gardens during the afternoon, and then at night. The Cloud Dome has a lovely waterfall. The sound of running water fills the dome.  (The photos don't do it justice)

While we waited for the sun to go down, we had tea at a lovely little restaurant with really hot curry. My lips are still tingling 5 hours later... Jill had a less adventurous dish, but just as nice.

Returned back to the Cloud and Flower domes after dark. This time the gardens were lit up with artificial lights. The gardens had a completely different feel at night.

From the gardens we headed to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel. We took the lift to the very top, 56th story

, (that boat type feature on top of the building.) At the top of the hotel there is a lovely garden, swimming pool (boasts to be the biggest in the world at that hight above ground). and a rooftop bar. Spectacular views even though it was really hot and very hazy. But that's Singapore, steamy one day and very steamy the next.

To finish the night we enjoyed the Luis Vuitton light show. Not long but very well done.
